My name is Dr. John Watson, once of the British Army Northumberland Fusilier Regiment, now a true crime podcaster based in Central London. I don't have much experience in criminology, so this is mostly a record of how I met possibly the most brilliant and bizarre person I have ever (and will ever) know. Join me as I document the adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

37 - The Dancing Men - Part Two

STALK THE STALK - it was earth-shattering. I can't describe it. The feeling of being at the centre of that swirling, chaotic tragedy. Sherlock was doing well to hide his pain and frustration. I was doing better than usual in keeping things together, if I do say so myself. It was time to figure out who Abe Slaney was and how to stop him.

WE'LL MEET AGAIN - a song that will never be the same to me now. My companion had been working on a mysterious code that required a knowledge of popular music to crack. That's where Dr. John Watson can certainly be of service.

    35 - A Case of Identity - Part Two

FALLEN ANGEL - my companion believed he had tracked down the voice of 'Angel'. We had a firm grip on the mystery of Miles Sutherland, we just couldn't let it slip away.

HATE THE PLAYER, NOT THE GAME - Summer had found its way to us, as had the case of Miles Sutherland. This one came to us from an email - and the correspondence would remain remote until we could track down and locate 'Angel'.

33 - The Reigate Squire - Part Two

FAKE IT UNTIL YOU TAKE IT - We were caught at a junction of dilemmas. Sherlock wasn't well. But things didn't add up. We couldn't abandon the case and leave William Kirwan to his fate. So sort of a mini-roundabout of dilemmas really. It was time to go and see the artwork vaults... And when we did - the case pivoted suddenly in our favour.

32 - The Reigate Squire - Part One

THE DARK ARTS - It was taking some time for the health of my friend - and yours - to recover from the strain caused by his immense exertions recently... Which is why I really wanted to find a means to have some sort of break. In typical fashion however; Sherlock managed to catch a scent of a delicious, juicy case.

Lazmad ,

Excellent work bringing classic stories up to date

I’ve been a fan of Doyle’s work for decades and these podcasts do a fantastic job of making them relevant to today’s society. I’ve recommended and re-recommended to friends because of how relatable and entertaining the episodes are. Recently became a Patreon because I always want the next episode!

Salewhite ,

Only just found this

And really annoyed that I wasn’t following it from the start. Really good fun. If you know the stories the endings are easy enough to predict but the modern spin is clever and the differences are enough to keep it interesting.

Rim reaper ,

A mixed bag

I like this show, it has some interesting cases and the character dynamics are enjoyable. The character of Sherlock is played wonderfully. But at times this can be very difficult to listen to; Dr Watson’s rambling and incompetencies unfortunately go well beyond cute and endearing. There’s also been a handful of prolonged singing segments, which are very jarring in an audio show of this kind.
