Siobhan Butler: First Aid for Everyone Thrive for Life

    • Health & Fitness

In this episode I chat to Siobhan Butler, owner of the first aid training business ‘First Aid for Everyone’ about how she made the transition from being a nurse to setting up her own successful business, how she manages her own health & wellbeing & how she balances family life with her work. Siobhan also shares some useful & practical first aid tips that everyone can benefit from.

Siobhan is a wife and mum to 4 children (20, 18, 16 and 13). She loves running, her family, friends and life in general.

Siobhan’s background is in paediatrics as well as general nursing. She established ‘First Aid for Everyone’ in 2009 in response to a lack of organised professional courses related to teaching Paediatric First Aid Training in Dublin.

Siobhan worked for over 20 years in an acute hospital setting & travelled and worked in the UK, Saudi Arabia and Australia. Before setting up ‘First Aid For Everyone’ Siobhan worked the last 10 years at a busy Accident and Emergency department in a Dublin hospital. For a few years she did both nursing and First Aid before she left her nursing career to work full time in First Aid.

Keep an eye out for upcoming first aid training courses on Siobhan’s website: www.firstaidforeveryone.ie or you can follow Siobhan on Instagram @firstaidfireveryone where she shares some wonderful free first aid videos & resources.
