Is there anything more fascinating than human potential? As a mindset coach and podcaster, The Adelaide Podcast sees just how far people can push their limit.

The conversations I’ve had with my guests have helped me develop my own methodology of guiding principles to overcome the seemingly impossible.

However, my podcast's true success can be measured by my listeners' successes: one listener will be adventuring in Svalbard in 2020, another reduced their Ironman Barcelona time by 8 minutes, and a scientist is now training for the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc.

Last year, my podcast won the Shextreme Adventure Podcast competition for my interviews with female adventurers including Megan Hine, Phoebe Smith and Squash Falconer.

Norseman Xtreme Triathlon 2018: the world's ultimate triathlon

Norseman Xtreme Triathlon 2018: the world's ultimate triathlon

Twas the night before the Isklar Norseman Xtreme Triathlon and all through the cabins, not a creature was stirring, not even a triathlete. The wetsuits were hung by the athletes with care, as they dreamt of the black tee shirt, that would soon be theirs. And the ferry stood still on Eidfjord’s cold waters, waiting to take them beyond the shore. Soon they’d be jumping and their heart rates racing….

After running down Dag Oliver, Managing Director of Norseman, at The London Triathlon Show, I was given the very enjoyable task of taking over Norseman’s Instagram Stories over the 4-day race period. This is my journey and story.

Three inspirational conversations with New Yorker triathletes

Three inspirational conversations with New Yorker triathletes

Last June (2018), I was very fortunate to travel to New York for work and while there, I thought it'd be fun to meet up with other triathletes, train with them and hear their story!

I sent a message to the Empire Triathlon Club in New York and soon found myself attending one their strength sessions and runs! They welcomed me with open arms and I had truly a terrific time. If you're ever a triathlete in NYC, I highly recommend joining them!

While still hot and sweaty from the session, I caught up with three of their athletes! Our conversations are short and varied: achieving goals, overcoming fears, journeys into triathlon, being courageous , giving back and much more!

(At the end you'll hear me mention Chris Mosier coming on the podcast, we're hoping our schedules will match up for Season 4!).

How to mentally prepare for your triathlete with Mette Pettersen

How to mentally prepare for your triathlete with Mette Pettersen

In 2018, my guest today finished in the top 12 of the Isklar Norseman Xtreme Triathlon and she was the first woman to cross the finish line. She did it in under 12 hours, becoming the first woman to do so on this course, completely destroying and smashing the female course record in the process.

I'm really excited to introduce to you today, Mette Pettersen, who is Norwegian and we talk all things Norseman and mindset. The more we chatter, the more I fell in love with her and I know you will too! So I hope you really enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed talking to Mette!

Great focus and inspiration

I love how the podcasts focus on the theme of how a person has achieved what they have achieved and the journey to get there. Extremely useful to have this insight rather than just the story of the achievements. By structuring the podcasts in this way it allows tips and tricks to be learnt and also for the listener to see what they could achieve and change. Looking forward to the next episodes!

Outstanding podcast in everyway

Thank you so much Adelaide for this podcast. I am so pleased I found it and am hungary to listen to every episode and gobble it up as it is opening my world. After listening to your first introductory show I could really relate to you and felt very connected. This show is a real showcase of good podcasting. Every element of what makes a good show is in it. I loved hearing about your polor expedition and the polar bear watch and enjoyed the Jo Pickard episode very much.
