Tough to listen to..
You guys had great potential to make a really enjoyable podcast about one of the best World War mini series / films. For me what ruined it was the constant getting names wrong or pronouncing them poorly. Felt uneducated to me. I enjoyed you’re analysis of the episodes but at times found it hard to listen to.
A genuinely painful listen
Made it as far as the Replacements episode and could stomach the inane, incoherent and largely ignorant ramblings of the hosts no longer. By all means comment about the show on which this podcast is based, but when deviating into historical chat about the war, perhaps it’s best to leave it to the experts. Or, at least do the research because the inaccuracies are on another level altogether. Even large parts of Band Of Brothers facts are incorrect - have you even watched the show? - including the names of the soldiers. It’s incredibly painful for a listener to endure this pithy drivel. Better to just rewatch the series. Avoid this at all costs.
Fact checking
I have to correct an assertion made in this podcast that the allies bombed Eindhoven on in September 1944 during Operation Market Garden. The German Luftwaffe carried out the air raid after the allies secured the city. Indeed, the allies were shown being welcomed into the city the previous day earlier in the same episode.
