Day 142: Whole and Joyful Hearts (2022)

Fr. Mike uses the readings today to ask the question, how can we love the Lord joyfully, and with our whole hearts? In scripture today we see David succeed in this, while his son Solomon is divided in his love of God. Fr. Soo relatable!!

I adore Fr.Mike! It’s nice to know that I am not crazy because if a priest can get giddy and excited over certain Bible passages then I’ll give myself a pass for exclaiming “ Oooh this is so tastyyyy” when I read parts of Scripture.
I just thought it was my Nigerian tendency to be super animated, but Fr Mike is even more OTT than I am, and I love it. God’s Word SHOULD delight us! I pray that this podcast reaches millions more. I have learned so much and God’s love in the story of salvation surpasses anything I could have ever imagined. Fr. Mike has brought the Bible “ to life”. May Almighty God pour every blessing upon Fr. Mike, Jeff Cavens, and all the members of Ascension Presents. Amen.

Second time around

My husband and I went through BIAY with Fr Mike last year and learned so much, particularly about the relationship between the sacrifices of the Old Testament and the Eucharist. It also helped keep us focused on our daily walk with God. So we decided to repeat this year - in fact, I think we might repeat it every year. Thank you Fr Mike and Jeff Cavins and all the team for bringing us such a fantastic resource. Mary: Poole, UK
