Boundaries are biblical. Boundaries are also intuitive: we all know we need them. Still, why do we feel that our boundaries in and around our marriage are constantly in flux or non-existent? In this episode we looked at three main reasons why we lack clear boundaries in marriage, and talked through some of the underlying principles that help us live with stronger boundaries in marriage. We hope it blesses you!

Identifying *and* Explaining How You Actually Feel

Identifying *and* Explaining How You Actually Feel

Talking is a skill, and not everyone has it. In fact, most don't! This is usually a result of being obscured—or unseeable—to ourselves. A skilled communicator knows how to identify and explain how they feel, and that usually starts with knowing how to examine your own heart and mind. In this episode we talked through the biblical foundation for knowing yourself for the purpose of glorifying God and being more completely known by your spouse in marriage. Then, we talk through some very tangible tools to help you put words to your emotions so you can connect more deeply and fight alongside one another more effectively. We covered a lot of ground, so buckle in and enjoy!

    The Art of Active Listening

    The Art of Active Listening

Most people rarely experience being *deeply* listened to; you can give your spouse that gift! Last week we talked about Selective Hearing, which is all about catching every drop of what your spouse communicates. This episode puts that conversation on steroids: learning how to seek out and gain insight into each other and internalize it in healthier ways. If you ACTIVELY listen to this episode, you'll hear us share three distinct incentives for learning and applying this valuable skill in your own marriage. :)

    How to Talk About Sex

    How to Talk About Sex

Every healthy married couple should not only prioritize sex but also communicating on the topic of sex. None would likely disagree (at least, not in most modern contexts), because what can a couple lose by talking about their sex life together? This a peculiar topic because it’s one area where we’ll heartily agree with the culture’s message: it’s right, good, and healthy to talk about sex in marriage! Where we do differ, however, has to do with why and how we believe couples should discuss their sex life.

Christian Marriage podcast that is serious about truth

As requested I made sure I’d listened to a few episodes before leaving a review and started a few back to listen through. I’ve occasionally listened to various marriage podcasts but always found them lacking. Some were fun but lacked content while others were full of secular psychology which while occasionally helpful missed the boat.

This podcast is truly gospel centred, constantly returning to the gospel and rooting honest conversation in theology. It’s also really good fun, I love being in their company.

If you’re looking for a podcast that is serious about marriage, solid on the gospel and a whole lot of fun? You’ve found it

Thank you

I am so grateful for these podcasts which I discovered at the start of lockdown. They have brought such assurance and affirmation to me in upholding christian marriage. I love the way you both point us to Jesus through His word and are real about the struggles and hardships in marriage too. My husband and I are now reading together your book, see-through marriage which I think is probably our first time doing this since we first got married. Thank you for this ministry that you pour yourselves into, I’m so blessed by it as I listen each week on my runs.
