As the hype slowly fades after an eventful Nintendo Direct, there's one question that is left in my mind: what were the highlights? With a lot of franchises getting some attention, both large and small, in this Direct, I decided to see what my personal highlights were and what got me the most hyped up and excited. 

With so many new additions to the Animal Crossing series with the most recent game, it is easy to cast away the less relevant updates to the side in favour of the more noticeable ones. Harv's Island is a prime example of this; once a brand new and exciting place to unleash your creativity, it has quickly been pushed out of peoples' minds with nothing but a repetitive summer event keeping players reminded of it. So what can be done to resolve this? Let's find out!

The day has come where I have a chance to reminisce over another year in this world and look forward to a brand new year of events.... and feel my bones cracking that bit more. Nonetheless, my birthday was a special day for numerous reasons, so why not make a podcast all about it? This is exactly what I do in this episode, where I take you through all the things that went on throughout the day both in Animal Crossing and real life, as well as a section about what makes birthdays so special to me.

It's a new year and everyone is already working towards their island ready for the Spring updates, but let us go back and have a look at Toy Day and why it holds such a special place in the Animal Crossing series, as well as see if the Toy Day events of Animal Crossing New Horizons really lived up to its expectations.
