Valuable musculoskeletal episode with Will Hutton for women over 40

I saw a clip of Dr Mindy talking with Dr Rangan Chatterjee, went to her podcast and found this episode with Will Hutton and was very grateful for all of the information. This episode strikes the perfect balance- this conversation is informative and educational but not patronising (which, frustratingly, so many other podcasts often are for women over 40, particularly relating to peri/menopause). Loved the facts and stats, and the plain and simple messages about how doing basic resistance training now can make a huge difference for our mobility in later years, even simple things like being able to get out of a chair. Some sobering studies are explained here, which is a positive eye-opening experience. This has all made me happy to know that I’m doing the right thing by being active, and taking my physical and mental health seriously. Recently, I tore my hamstring, which scared the hell out of me, as I took walking, standing, driving, and even just sitting down for granted. I couldn’t do any of those things for 2-3 weeks and it has taken me double the amount of time to recover. The information in these podcasts are essential to keep me mobile, sane and physically and financially independent. Thank you for sharing this vital information for those of us in our fifties who need to know what we need to do to be able to live happily into our nineties and beyond!
Breaking the myths, love this podcast

Have listened to many of Dr Mindy’s podcasts and always learn something new! Absolutely loved that she interviewed Dr Stacey Simms and cleared up some of the social media confusion over whether women should be fasting or not. Evidently, both women are united in their mission to educate and remind women that we are not small men! I do interval fasting but as an avid cyclist/weight trainer, I am using Dr Simm’s advice to have a small amount of protein/carb prior to getting pumped so that I can thrive in my 50s. Dr Mindy’s fasting regimes are great for shredding excess fat and recharging the metabolism but Dr Simms is great for fitness-driven women who want to strengthen and build muscular power as they age. Both experts have worked for me-they are not at odds with eachother and I’m impressed by the passion and commitment of both to showing us what we can do to be super healthy women. Thank you and woo hoo! 😘
Mindys podcasts are such a great part of my day

Mindy is inspiring, I hear passion - not yelling. It’s like she has a million and one things to tell/teach us and wants to get it across in simple easy terms that we can adapt into our lives. I listened to a few weeks of podcasts and then brought her books. A wealth of knowledge!
Menopause

Thank you Doctors for helping me understand that I am not going crazy or becoming lazy or overeating. My body is changing, I need more sleep, need to learn to work and cooperate with my body for our highest good.
