Italian Mini Series: Puglia, the heart of the Mediterranean!

Italian Mini Series: Puglia, the heart of the Mediterranean!

Coming up in this episode, we are exploring Puglia, Italy and discovering what this stunning region of Italy has to offer visitors.

From UNESCO world heritage sites, breathtaking coastlines, countryside and much more.... and to take us on this journey I’m joined by two special guests Alfredo and Gino from Puglia Tourism.

    Our guests personal recommendations on:

Their own top tips on what to do in Puglia
    Food & Drink
    Outdoor activities
    Festivals
    History and culture
    Recommended length of stay
    Special music on the episode.

    Intro music

Grido Nero means Black Shout (or shriek), by Improbabilband, featuring Michele Jamil Marzella and Giovanni Chiapparino. They blend the sounds of Puglia with the Mediterranean rhythms (from the Balkans to South Saharan Africa), also thanks to the magical voice of Gabin Dabirè. Also on this record: Giuseppe Muciaccia on clarinet, Maurizio Lampugnani on percussion and vocals, Domenico Lopez on Spanish guitar.

    Outro music

I Fiori di Molfetta (Molfetta’s Flowers) is by the "Apulian Mandolin Academy" , an ensemble of soloists, all graduates from the mandolin school of the “N. Piccinni ”Consrvatory of Bari, The ensamble is directed by Maestros Mauro Squillante and Leonardo Lospalluti. The mandolin is a typical southern Italian instrument, and the Accademia of Puglia is one of a kind in keeping with this tradition. They have been touring Italy and Europe over the last 5 years.

Poor audio and editing

Tuned into the New Orleans episode and music too loud for voice, overall v poor levels, had to turn off. For taking such a big name in travel podcast world this level of editing is amateur and deserves to be better.
