Veteran State Of Mind Episode 217: with Mikael Cook
Mikael Cook is a former U.S. Army Staff Sergeant and veteran of the war in Afghanistan. During the August 2021 evacuation of Afghanistan, Mikael was apart of the #DigitalDunkirk team that saved thousands of our Afghan allies that had been left for dead. He was personally responsible for the evacuation of 20 of our allies, most of whom have now joined him in Michigan. Mikael is an active member of the veteran community and continues his advocacy work for the Afghan allies left behind.

Great podcast
Been listening from the very start this podcast began.... great guest, good insights and very funny!
The new War stories segment are very interesting, Frank interviews with war veterans- highly recommend

I found this podcast in August 2022 after the Mike Chadwick episode, Enjoyed it so much i listened to a few more of the recent ones then went straight back to episode 1 and made it my mission to listen to every single episode and i have just finished, What a ride! It’s been crazy listening to Gez and Joe basically predict the future with their Rants and Bants episodes and at the same time start to feel some sanity myself knowing I’m not the only one who feels that way about everything that was going on at that time. Gez is an incredible interviewer and has a really interesting range of guests, some of which i assumed i wouldn’t find very interesting at the start of the episode only to find I’m absolutely hooked after 10 mins and following them on every social platform. I particularly enjoy Gez’s use of analogy’s which help a bonehead like me understand some of the points he’s making. Ive burst out laughing many times throughout the episodes and also shed a tear or two. Keep up the good work Mate!
