Simultaneously interesting, entertaining, amusing and strangely comforting

As my title and 5-star rating suggests, I’m a big fan of this show. I first discovered it quite by accident, following one of the hosts excellent role-play over on Twitch, and I’m so glad that I did.

The two hosts are clearly multi-talented, but unlike some more sponsor/commercially dependent podcasts, they are relatable and charming to listen to. There is no artificial hype or feigned interest in the topics. You get the impression that you’re listening to two well-informed friends, sharing stories and responding accordingly. Probably because that’s exactly what you are listening to.

I listen to a lot of podcasts and I’m fussy person who’s extremely difficult to please. I remember listening to ‘stuff you should know’ way back when, and drifting away from the show because I just couldn’t stomach how squeaky-clean and mediocre the hosts were. I loved being informed and learning new things, but listening to those guys didn’t feel like that I was sitting in a room with friends, it felt like listening to a commercial radio station.

I just want to finish up by saying that this is absolutely not the case with this podcast. These two are my kind of people (I think), and I absolutely sit by my podcast feed eagerly each week, waiting for their latest offering to drop.

I can verify that it is "out-of-this-world"!

A refreshing take on the “Paranormal Podcast” genre, I binged the first 9 episodes in 3 days! World-Weary not only brings obscure stories to the table but also puts a fresh spin on well-known cases such as Tutankhamun’s curse. This podcast is made even more enjoyable by the unusual Brit/American dynamic, archaeological expertise and the ladies’ endlessly interesting anecdotes! Looking forward to more episodes.
