Ep. 1: ENCORE PRESENTATION — LGBTQ+ Black & Brown Youth, Policing, and the Justice System Xchanges

    • 個人日誌

ENCORE PRESENTATION of the LGBTQ+ Youth Xchange for Change's 1st (virtual) Xchange Xperience: LGBTQ+ Black & Brown Youth, Policing, and the Justice System.

Black and Brown LGBTQ+ youth disproportionately endure violence and over-policing, and, simultaneously, experience additional police exposure due to unique pipelines into justice systems.

In July, we chatted with Maria about groundbreaking data, heard from orgs. led by youth of color who are pushing back against criminalization in schools and in the community, and learned from advocates, like Dominique, working tirelessly to end over-incarceration and mistreatment in "in-justice" systems.

Co-hosted by Shear Avory and Elliott Hinkle.
