Before having children, former CIA Officer Emily Hikade was fearless when carrying out dangerous missions. Experiencing a near-death experience forced Emily to confront her own mortality, leading to a pivotal moment in her life.

In 2015, Emily founded Petite Plume, a luxury sleepwear company in order to provide more safety for her family. Inspired by her travels, Emily began to create high-quality children's sleepwear without flame-retardant chemicals. Emily believes her experience working for the CIA has made her a more resilient entrepreneur. Knowing that the ups and downs of business are not life or death situations, Emily has created and grown a successful business and retired from a life of high risk.
