Camille Mays has been an influencer on 38th street and in the city of Milwaukee. She is in charge of Peace Garden Project MKE. With the family’s permission, she replaces memorials on the side of the road with small patches of flowers. These are peace gardens. Camille uses peace gardens for community building and healing. The healing is not only for the community but for herself as well.
