“3 The Pro Way” shares the stories of the three African American athletes and business professionals, who have each transformed their respective athletic careers into different careers, allowing them to learn, grow and become successful through those unique paths. Kent, Dyson and Campbell will give advice and discuss concepts for how to successfully transition from one career to another. They will also welcome guests who have gone through similar career journeys to share their personal and professional perspectives and provide podcast listeners with helpful takeaways on how to transition from one career to an entirely new one.

Damon Bowers
This week’s episode of 3 The Pro Way has us sitting down with former arena football player, Damon Bowers. Born and raised in California, he talks to us about his early years, growing up with parents who were very involved with his athletic endeavors, but more importantly, instilled in him the value of an education, and how it helped shaped him into the person he is now. Damon also gives us an insight into his college years at University of the Pacific and San Jose State, and what it was like playing at different levels of football. He then moved on to the Arena League in which he played for six years. He shows his commitment to family values by telling us about his love for his two boys and their love for athletics and his daughter’s pursuit of music and how that has really opened his eyes to a lot of different possibilities for her life. Also, we touch on his brief television career as a bachelor contestant on Season 2 of the Bachelorette. Now living in Nashville, the place he calls home, He is the owner and president of a debt and equity brokerage called Persevere Lending.
