Being Prepared as an Actor Weekly Chaser

    • Arts

For this week's acting tip, I wanted to explain how crucial it is for actors to be prepared for their auditions. But not only do you have to be prepared; you also need to execute what you prepare in order to find success.

I recently had an experience with this for my virtual call audition for NBC's The Voice. At the end of the day, regardless of being picked or not to move on to the next round, I can still take pride in knowing that I prepared myself beforehand and I executed what I prepared.

As an actor, that's the only thing you have control over; your hard work and dedication before the audition, and then how you do during the audition. That's your only job! Don't worry about booking the role or making tons of money or whatever, just ready yourself and seize your moment when the time comes.

Here's a link to the self-tape video I made last month:

To check out some behind-the-scenes footage of the documentary we just worked on, here's a link to that:

Until next week!
