    Didactic Mind, Ep 118: The Promise Kept

    Didactic Mind, Ep 118: The Promise Kept

    Rejoice, brothers and sisters, for Christ is Risen! He is with us and between us on this most glorious of days, as we celebrate Easter and the day of His Resurrection. Today we acknowledge in faith and joy the promise that He made to us, and which He kept. In that spirit, I have put together a set of thoughts on the nature of Easter, what it means for us, and why His Hugeness gave us the signs He did. I also talk about the need to read through Scripture to understand His words, and the dangers of ignoring the clear signs of Scripture, and especially of rejecting the Trinity.

    Protect Yourself From Big Tech
    I make some pretty incendiary statements in this podcast, and in most of my podcasts. I can only do so because I take steps to protect myself from the Big Tech companies, and preserve my identity. You need to do the same – this is no longer optional, because if you don’t, the gatekeepers WILL come for your head.
    If you don’t know where to start, then I’ve got you covered right here with this post. Here are the specific steps that you can take:
    Make sure that your web traffic is safe and protected from prying eyes using a VPN – click here to get a massive 80% OFF on a 24-month subscription with Surfshark;
    Be sure also to check out Incogni, the new data and privacy management tool offered by Surfshark, which simply works behind the scenes to ensure that no malign actors can take advantage of your data ever again;
    Another solid VPN option for you is Atlas VPN, brought to you by the same company that creates NordVPN;
    The best SSD drive that you can get right now, with blazing fast speeds and near-native storage capabilities, is probably the SanDisk Extreme 1TB Portable SSD with NVMe technology – I bought this myself to keep a moving backup of all of my files, it’s the size of a credit card, and it’s absolutely superb;

    Didactic Mind, Ep 117: The Burning of Rome

    Didactic Mind, Ep 117: The Burning of Rome

    The Didactic Mind podcast is FINALLY back, after a long hiatus due to... well, sheer laziness, mostly, and a real lack of desire to talk about much of the craziness around us. Nonetheless, recent events in the West and Russia have made a podcast necessary to unpack some of the historical and political context behind them. In this episode, I talk about the parallels between the Fall of the Roman Empire, and the very obvious collapse of the FUSA. I discuss how Roman culture, philosophy, and political thought went from Rome, to Byzantium, to Moscow, and how Russia considers itself to be the true guardian of the ancient flame of Graeco-Roman legal philosophy, combined with Christian morality.
    I then go into the ways in which the FUSA is falling to the exact same forces that destroyed first the Roman Republic, and then the Roman Empire. I quote the words of one of the Last of the Americans, St. Reagan of the Right, Ronald Magnus himself, to explain how the FUSA has taken a downward course that has doomed it to destruction. And I close with some rather sad words about how the only people who truly understand what America is about to face, are the very people that the neoclowns and GloboHomoPaedoPharisatanists want to exterminate - the Russians.

    Domain Query: Fake it 'til you make it

    Domain Query: Fake it 'til you make it

    This latest Domain Query comes by way of LRFotS Randale6, who asks a pertinent and germane question about the difference between natural and artificial, or "learned", charisma, with examples provided as reference points:

    Didact, what are your thoughts on natural vs artificial charisma?
    For clarification I will provide a summary of each along with a video showcasing it.
    Artificial Charisma: Being more charismatic then you naturally are, involves studying the rhetorical and dialectic arts, seeking advantages provided by the environment and/or audience, and preparing ahead of time.
    Example video (Mark Zuckerberg speaking Mandarin).
    Natural Charisma: Charisma that is innate, often marked by the user's ability to improvise and as they say "fly by the seat of my pants", often without any apparent effort or preparation.
    Example video (2016 republican debate, aka Trump abuses rhinos for sport).

    In my response, I point out that there is indeed a big difference between the two, but artificial charisma CAN eventually substitute for the real thing, through time and practice, although it will never be a perfect substitute for the natural kind. I liken it to the difference between a naturally gifted athlete, e.g. Roger Federer, and one who is simply relentless and remorseless in his training and dedication to the game, e.g. Novak Djokovic. The former will always be more talented than the latter - but the latter has more titles and more records to his name now.

    Didactic Mind, Ep 116: Train of Consequences

    Didactic Mind, Ep 116: Train of Consequences

    Happy 2024, brothers and sisters! May the peace and blessings of Our Lord Jesus Christ be with you this year. The podcast that follows is, admittedly, a couple of weeks late - I originally intended to record it on New Year's Day, but that didn't happen, due to family commitments and other things. Nonetheless, here we are with the relevant podcast to kick off 2024.

    The first thing to say is, New Year's day marked - no joke - ELEVEN YEARS since I started doing this shitposting thing. That is not an exaggeration. The original Didact's Reach Blogger site launched on Jan 1, 2013. That evolved eventually into the current Didactic Mind site, podcast, and Telegram channel. So we are now into the twelfth year of this whole... journey, if you want to call it that.

    Most blogs and sites do not last more than 11 weeks, never mind 11 years. As I point out here, I do not do this for anyone other than myself - I literally do not care what most people think about my writing - but it is nonetheless rather rewarding to learn that other people get value from what I do, and appreciate the output.

    So, as always, thank you very much for your continued patronage, site visits, comments, and community participation. If you want to engage more with the content, then be sure to join the Didactic Mind Telegram channel, which is quite a lot of fun for pretty much everyone involved. It is a small, but highly lively, community that regularly engages in hilarious banter and cross-posting of ideas. And Telegram is simply a great platform that combines the best features of Twitter, WhatsApp, and a long-form site, while offering other features that are far better than any of its competitors.

    As usual, I will provide analytics for my site and podcast here, so you can get an idea of how this site stacks up against everyone else (hint: not great, but that's fine).

    Total pageviews of 153K in 2023, which is a 41% decrease against 2022's 260K, and is unsurprising given the much lower rate of poasting;

    Total of 31,602 unique visitors across the site, which is down about 27% relative to 2022's 43.6K, and again, for the same reasons;

    Total of 440 comments across 255 posts, which is a decrease of 39% and 16%, respectively;

    Posts averaged 1,086 words each, making them significantly shorter than what we saw in 2022;

    The geographic distribution of the site's readership continues to be highly global, but predominantly US-centric:

    The Didactic Mind podcast also had a decent, though not great, year - due largely to much lower frequency of recording:

    2,623 total downloads, down 26.2% against 2022, with over 8,500 total downloads all-time;

    A more or less steady subscriber base of about 126 Telegram members of the Didactic Mind channel;

    All in all, a year of struggles, at least in some ways, and I go over some of these in the podcast. I also discuss what 2024 might hold for us, and how we can prepare for what promises to be a very challenging year ahead.

    Didactic Mind, Ep 115: And the Word Became Flesh

    Happy Christmas to you all, my dear brothers and friends! May the peace and blessings of the Lord be upon you and your families on this most wonderful and sacred of days. Today's podcast is all about explaining "the reason for the season", as it were - a phrase I rather dislike, so I try to avoid using it, but it applies nonetheless. In this podcast, I discuss why Christmas is so important, and how the timeless story of the tiny infant born into a manger has so much meaning. I talk about how the person of Jesus is rapidly destroying the heresy of Izzlam, how the power of the Holy Spirit transforms lives and builds men up, and how we can all take inspiration from the greatest story ever told.

    Domain Query: Ask Didact Anything Day #3

    Domain Query: Ask Didact Anything Day #3

    Friends, the time has come for another Ask Didact Anything brain-dump. This instalment addresses a wide range of reader questions, starting with a fascinating article sent to me by a reader, and continuing on through various points of interest raised by members of my Telegram channel. (Join for the news feed - stay for the bantz.)
    The list of questions is as follows:
    LRFotS AuntRat asks for my thoughts on an excellent article by The Z-Man on the horrors of the new kind of mechanised warfare we see in Banderastan;
    Ambergris asks me to play a kind of "Desert Island Discs" with respect to the bands I would tolerate listening to for the rest of my life;
    Our native Kraut, MK, asks for my opinion on the best places to live with industrialised First-World environments, where a young buck can start a family - Germanic-speaking areas preferred, of course;
    LRFotS Kapios - a veteran from the very earliest days of the old Didact's Reach Blogspot site - asks how I might consider setting up a content-creation business online with a commercial partner;
    The hilarious SupremeCannon - he of the hysterical "Tyroneiums" moniker - asks a serious question about which out of the FUSA, the EUSSR, the UK, or China, will collapse first from colossal financial phuckwittery;
    SupremeCannon again with another question about how Civil War 2.0 will unfold in the FUSA, and whether 2024 will be the year in which it will happen;
    Many thanks to all of my channel members and subscribers for their most excellent questions. I hope I have answered them thoroughly and thoughtfully, and welcome your comments both here and on Telegram.
