This is Episode 1 from the Podcast GrandMa GiGi Reads, and it is taken from The Child's World, a required Fifth grade reader from 1917.  I just love how the stories read in this book.  The old world english and how it was written is no longer spoken as it was back then.  All the stories in this 5th grade reader teach knowledge like ethics, grace, courage, as well as kindness and love.  Thank you for letting GrandMa GiGi read to you!
