Field Your Passion: Sports Update with Howard University's Director of Swimming and Diving and Director of Tennis, Coach Nicholas Askew
During his time as a dual-sport student- athlete, Coach Askew’s achievements mounted: he broke several swimming records, served as team captain and became a six-time conference champion. He also acquired the “Most Valuable Player” award four times – three times for swimming and once for tennis. He had the distinguishment of being the only student-athlete to have earned an MVP award in two sports in the same year.

Coach White comes to ASU from St. Thomas University in Miami, Fla., where he has served as the Interim Head Basketball Coach last season. Under White's guidance, the Bobcats finished with a 11-17 overall record and 10-8 in conference play, while being nationally ranked no. 25 in the NAIA Division I poll.
The Rams Coach Gayle said. "Adrian is one of the best up-and-coming coaches in the state of Florida, and his connections at the high school and junior college levels will prove to be beneficial in recruiting. He's an outstanding coach, and will help our program from the moment he steps on campus.”

"Field Your Passion: SPORTS UPDATE" Conversation with Claflin University Softball Head Coach Marty Kinard and special guest...
Coach Kinard is a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, Coach Kinard entering his second season as the head coach of the Claflin University softball team. Kinard is in his ninth season with the program, serving two seasons as the interim head coach (2017 & 2018) and five years as an assistant coach (2012-2016).
In his first season (2017) leading the Lady Panthers, Kinard led his team to the program’s first-ever Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) title along with an SIAC Eastern Division Title. For his efforts he earned the 2017 SIAC Coach of the Year and 2017 Outstanding Tournament Coach.
In the team's first season as a member of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), the Lady Panthers finished undefeated at 18-0, capturing the Southern Division Title and finishing as runner-up in the 2019 CIAA Softball Championship. For his efforts, Kinard was voted the 2019 CIAA Coach of the Year. His three-year record sits at 97-68 for a .588 winning percentage.
