€5m student accommodation overspend: The UL housing scandal at centre of garda probe
The University of Limerick (UL) is engulfed in a scandal arising from a €5m overspend on student housing 3km from the college campus. UL wrote to gardaí last month to notify authorities of a possible fraud. The matter is currently the subject of ongoing assessment by the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau to see if a criminal investigation is warranted.
