British traveler Luke Edwards is author of "Travel Escapades: Adventures and Upsets Around the World" shares some stories from one of his favorite islands, Corsica.

Birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte, Corsica has some interesting history, including numerous pirate attacks and a very distinct local culture with strong French and Italian influences. 

But for Luke, what makes the places most magical are the isolated beaches scattered around the edges and the mountainous hikes running through the middle of Corsica.

This is a great episode for people planning a first trip to Corsica, or if you want to relive some of that feeling you had when visiting, or you just want to daydream about a Mediterranean island with ideal climate.

"There is a saying in Brazil, people that live at the beach don't go to the beach" but according to Brazil travel blogger Luiza Cardoso, Florianpolis is a cool exception to this general rule.

The island of Santa Catarina, where Florianopolis is located, is one of the most chill and exotic islands in the world. It has chill beaches, nightlife, wild nature hikes, and an atmosphere that is hard to describe but easily felt when you experience it.

Luiza Cardoso, who is from São Paulo Brazil, has her own travel blog and social media channel called "Olhos de Turista" (tourist eyes). She shares some insider tips of the one of very favorite places in all of Brazil.

Located right in between Scotland, Norway, and Iceland, the Faroe Islands have received a wide range of attention in recent years. 

With just 50,000 people this formerly isolated small group of islands probably has a lot more sheep than people based on how freelance writer Brenna Saunders describes here serendipitous visit to the Faroe Islands. 

In this episode Brenna paints a picture of the Faroe's being a green, peaceful, and other worldly kind of place that although it is part of Denmark, has its own language, culture, and traditions.

Did you know that Kiribati has only one cab driver? Learn his name in this episode. Kiribati is also one of the least visited countries on earth and Gunnar Garfors explains why it is so amazing! Garfors spent considerable time of the island while writing his book "Elsewhere" about the 20 least visited countries on earth. Kiribati is a collection of 34 islands spanning a wide stretch of space in the Pacific Ocean. It is hard to get to, as we discuss transport options in this episode, but very worth it!
