28 - It's Time to Cancel Cancel Culture

This week, Jaylin opens up the floor by talking about the recent controversy surrounding the Netflix special created by the one and only GOAT of comedy, Dave Chapelle. She talks about racism within the LGBTQ+ community and why the treatment of Chapelle shows that it can actually be more harmful than the overarching racism in society. She also uses this as a way to start a conversation on cancel culture, why its not real and not effective, but how it could be.
BTW, book yourself an appointment for a lash lift.

    27 - Andddddd She's Back!

And she's back (hopefully for longer than a week...)
This week Jaylin starts of breaking her hiatus with first explaining why she was away before following that up with an explanation on why it's important to get vaccinated. She then talks about the Texas abortion ban, which bans almost all abortions after 6 weeks (before many women even know they are pregnant) but also gives private citizens the ability to sue those who have had or where involved in an abortion for up to $10k. She talks about why this legislation is extremely harmful and a massive hindrance on a woman's reproductive rights. Finally, Jaylin wraps up the episode with a personal story that encouraged personal growth all around and helped her to see how important a good conversation can be.

26 - An Open Letter to Parents

Another apology is needed for the late upload. Honestly you guys should just start expecting them from me by now. XOXO
This week Jaylin puts the parents of the world in the hot seat. She has open, honest, and vulnerable conversations on parenting, in every conceivable facet of it. She opens up the episode talking about her personal experience with her own parents and the topic of parenting in general, before making the point that parenting is based on effort and sacrifice, not blood or genetics. In the first part of the episode, Jaylin gives listeners the 4 Pillars of Good Parenting (Trademark Pending): making sure your child is cared for, making sure your child is healthy, making sure your child is happy, and making sure your child feels loved. She goes in depth about what it means to be a good parent along with a very sobering point that all parents need to acknowledge: your child does not owe you anything. She finishes up the episode by giving pieces of advice to new parents raising children in the digital age, giving some personal experiences and interesting aspects to how important it is to raise children as far away from technology as possible.

25 - A Change Will Do U(s) Good (feat. Gold-Star Standard Olympic BS)

**So sorry for the late (Tuesday) upload! I unfortunately have been diagnosed with a terrible condition that makes it difficult for me to get off my lazy ass and upload. Hope you can support me through this troubling time by still listening to this week's episode ;)
This week, Jaylin is back, and better than ever. She opens up about the last 2 weeks including (but not exclusive to) the emotional and mental turmoil she has been battling in that time. She talks about how she's been feelings, why she's been feeling that way, and because of these two things, some changes that are going to be coming to the podcast (don't worry...all good things!) She then tackles the Olympics and their ban against Sha'Carri Richardson for failing a drug test, along with some of the more infuriating bans they have made, including a ban on swim caps for black hair and on two female runners from Namibia. Listen and enjoy as always.

24 - Addressing the Trump Signs

24 - Addressing the Trump Signs

This week, Jaylin takes on the Trump supporters head-on.
She first addresses some of the outrageous, offensive, and borderline insane Trump signs she has seen in the last several months, and then opens up the conversation as to why this behavior is not only inappropriate, but also concerning. She makes the point that we should not be idolizing or putting politicians on a pedestal, as it is not feasible for a functional democracy. Then, she has a very poignant response to the oh-so-overused Republican phrase "if you don't like it here, then leave". She then wraps up the episode talking about her favorite reality TV show that is being renewed for another season: Love Island!
