March 1 – “We are made to be Holy” 1 Corinthians 1:1-3 Rev. Philip Chemel PIWC PEEL presents Back to the WORD!

    • Christianity

On today’s Back to the WORD our pastor Philip Chemel does an exposition on his topic “We are made to be Holy”. He begins by stating that our holiness is not based on what we do, our presence at church, or how often we tithe, but holiness is based on the finished work of Christ on the cross. We cannot profess to be children of the highest God and yet live lives that are contrary to his living word. So once we have placed our faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross of Calvary. We are then called out from this world to be holy unto the Lord used as vessels of Honor and not dishonor. This happens daily through the sanctify power of the Spirit of Christ for our mind, body, soul, and spirit to be conformed and united to that of Christ. For the bible says that we are to be Holy for he is holy. Thus holiness is an attribute of God that he expects his followers to acquire while in personal relationship in our spiritual walk in this world. No matter our positions or roles in and outside the church or how old or new we are in faith; the Almighty Father of all requires us to be Holy to the glory of his blessed name cause without holiness no one can see God. Let’s get back to the WORD!
