There are really good people out there with interesting stories. Those people may be closer than you think.

My goal is to bring those stories to the surface and help us all understand that we have much more in common than we think.

    #8 - Alex Mariani

Alex is another guest who wears many hats in life. By day, he owns and operates a successful personal training studio, Earth Athletics. Having worked in his program personally, I can tell you Alex is second to none when it comes to the combination of enthusiasm, knowledge, and motivation in a trainer.

By night, Alex pours his heart and soul into his music as DelMar the Poet. The expressive lyrics and hip hop rhythms are pulled from life experience, and believe me, his life is a story worth telling. From growing up and helping to raise his siblings, to dealing with his own issues with substance abuse, to becoming sober and launching his own business; Alex has overcome many challenges and transformed himself into someone who can inspire others to transform their physical and mental well being..

And now his latest adventure is as a father to his newborn son, Jamison. Fatherhood has introduced a new perspective for Alex, and this drives him even more to be the best man he can be.

I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. Alex is an inspiration to anyone looking for the motivation to change their life direction. Can't wait to have him on again!

#7 - Kimberly and Russell Mann

#7 - Kimberly and Russell Mann

Kimberly and Russell manage a successful realty team in the Racine/Kenosha area in Wisconsin. Together, they manage TAMT Homes at Shorewest Realtors. In addition to getting some great tidbits of knowledge from the real estate realm, we also discussed how Kim and Russ came to be partners in life, as well as in business. You can catch both of them on their weekly web broadcasts (see links below).  It was a lot of fun talking with them and getting to learn their story. Most importantly, we now know who gets the credit for all the great American ciders we now enjoy in the US.

Please check out their website and follow them on social media.

    #6 - Matt Timmons

    #6 - Matt Timmons

Matt is the Creative Director at Lakepoint Church in Muskego. His role has presented many challenges in the past year, including keeping his working team focused with COVID in the workplace and setting up virtual church services.  We enjoyed quite a few laughs during the show; Talking about politics, religion, relationships, music, and shameless attempts at acquiring sponsors.

Matt's road to get to where he's at has been an interesting one, and he couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity he has at Lakepoint Church.  I'm excited to cover more of his journey in a future episode.

    Enjoy!

    #5 - Pops Fletcher (Interview)

    #5 - Pops Fletcher (Interview)

Pops is a guitarist and band leader based out of Beloit, WI.  Prior to COVID, you would've seen him regularly playing between Milwaukee and Madison with his group, "Pops Fletcher and the Hucksters".  Our conversation was such a blast. Pops shares plenty from his musical history dating back to the 60s. He's an entertaining story teller for sure.
As a special bonus treat, I decided to invite my friend and producer, Brian Ray to join in on the fun. You never know what'll happen when you get three musicians together swappin' stories!
Jam session to follow in the next episode. Enjoy!

    #4 - Officer Sunny Schneider

    #4 - Officer Sunny Schneider

Officer Schneider was kind enough to share her time with us to share her experience as a police officer for the City of Waukesha. We covered quite a bit, including her experience in the academy and her first year patrolling the city streets.  Plenty of good stories in her first year!

Of course with the volatility of the past year, I asked for her perspective on current events, including working under COVID-19 and the BLM movement. With all the negative publicity surrounding law enforcement, it was a privilege to sit down with an officer of the law who is truly committed to keeping citizens safe and serving the greater good.

    Happy New Year Everyone!
