The Platform Series: Inspired – April 25th, 2024

The Platform Series on Radio Kerry is funded by Coimisiún na Meán with the television licence fee and it aims to help Kerry organisations raise awareness of their work.
Inspired is a not-for-profit organisation which provides a day service for adults with mild to low moderate intellectual disabilities who have completed post-primary or secondary school.
The organisation was founded in 2014 by a group of parents who believed that people with intellectual disabilities should be an integral part of society, having equal rights to participate in education and employment.
On the Kerry Today show, service users Paddy Clancy, Lydia Murphy and Ciarán Sears gave an insight into their lives, their work, their interests and the impact being part of Inspired has had on them.
Presenter Jerry O’Sullivan also interviewed Stephanie Dinham who is programme and career co-ordinator with Inspired.
