    Lockdown ramblings

It’s been a while so I figured it was time to get some of the thoughts in my head out into your ears. We are in week 1 of stricter social isolation as a result of Coronavirus and I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact and whether we will change as a society on the other side of all of this. If you listen to the end, you’ll hear me mention NICEOLATION BAR on Facebook run by the fabulous Geoff and Keri, the IN THE CROWD MENTAL HEALTH (@InTheCrowdMH on Twitter) group run by Dan and Lucy, as well as @TimetochangeWA1 who are championing mental health support and keeping people connected through Warrington and beyond. A massive shout also to Conexus Tuition and the fabulous team of colleagues that I am privileged to be a part of. We have a range of events (FREE and paid for) that are supporting students with home learning and ensuring that our tutors can continue to work. Please do follow us on Facebook and on Eventbrite. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/conexus-tuition-28743299465

The Purple Boots podcast - Initial ramblings

The Purple Boots podcast - Initial ramblings

My first podcast in what I hope will become a series, focussing on the stories of myself and others as part of my personal project “Living With...” which is my 2020 creative focus. In this episode, it’s pretty much a general stream of consciousness about where I want to go with the podcast and, perhaps more importantly, a small taste of some of the events that have led me here. I hope you’ll come with me on my journey this year, to learn about myself and others and hopefully to hear that whatever life is throwing at you, there is someone else out there who is probably travelling that road as well, so you aren’t alone. Please be aware that I occasionally reference my own struggle with suicidal episodes so be aware that this may be triggering. No specific details, just references to how I was feeling.
