Will Avowed be another Redfall? Sitting down with Kirk from @whatsnewvideogames to discuss one of the bigger Xbox games releasing this year as the Avowed release date is set for later in 2024.

After the last Xbox showcase I argued that the Avowed gameplay looked better, but Kirk doesn't seem to think so. While the Avowed combat does look clunky, I am hopeful improvements can be implemented before launch.

Avowed is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Xbox Game Studios. Avowed takes place in the same universe as Pillars of Eternity, in the world of Eora. The game is scheduled to be released in Q3/Q4 2024 for Windows and Xbox Series X/S.

Xbox. Once a platform now trending quickly and seemingly irreversibly toward being a publisher. The generation has not been kind to Xbox but it doesn't mean the Microsoft-backed gaming giant can't chart a new path. I think the we've already seen the first step of them moving into their new role as publisher and that more and more games will continue to land on PlayStation and Nintendo until they are almost all 3rd party.

Shadow of the Erdtree is Elden Ring's one and only expansion. "We said a similar thing at the end of Dark Souls 3. We didn't want to flatten those possibilities or put a pin in them just at that time. And it's a similar story with Elden Ring. We don't want to discourage the possibilities for that.

Xbox struggles continue as they report yet more losses but the new tone and shift within the Microsoft gaming giant may be brighter than many of us had thought it could be. What if the next Xbox isn't a console at all? What if it's much more of a PC?

Well after a weekend of review bombing and setting twitter on fire the Helldivers 2 PC player base has gotten their wish. Sony has canceled the requirement for a PSN Account to play Helldivers 2 on PC. Most of this video was recorded before PlayStation announced that it was rolled back so many of my thoughts, while still valid, are without the knowledge this had been removed.

Helldivers 2 is a 2024 cooperative third-person shooter game developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game is the direct sequel to Helldivers, a 2015 top-down shooter. It was released for PlayStation 5 and Windows on 8 February 2024.

Starfield never fails to intrigue us all. Since we first heard about it up until yesterday's update about performance modes it always seems to be a lightning rod for those who love it, hate it, and even those who claim not to care. Rumors have been flying for some time now that Starfield would eventually land on the PlayStation, but I think the best evidence we have of Starfield launching on the PlayStation is the Starfield May update Bethesda dropped yesterday.\
