Rapper Sean Kingston has been booked into Florida and faces criminal charges that allege he and his mother committed more than $1 million in fraud in an elaborate scheme the two ran together, records show.

Kingston, 34, and Janice Turner, 61, were arrested on May 23 in connection with the fraud charges after a raid on Kingston’s mansion outside of Fort Lauderdale. Turner was taken into custody, and Kingston — whose real name is Kisean Anderson — was arrested in California, where he had been performing at a military base.

Anthony Fauci defended his handling of the pandemic in House testimony on Monday, while seeking to distance himself from a longtime aide accused of misconduct.

Singer Jon Bellion disclosed the inner workings of his unfavorable former deal with Live Nation on The George Janko Show.

"Basically, I got to a place in my career, we sold out 10,000 people at Jones Beach, I mean, it was the height of everything for me and it was right around the time I figured out how my Live Nation contract worked," Bellion recalled at the 13:02 mark in the video above. "It was right around the time I figured out how my record deal actually worked."

When OpenAI’s new voice assistant said it was “doing fantastic” in a launch demo this month, Scarlett Johansson was not.

The Hollywood star said she was “shocked, angered and in disbelief” that the updated version of ChatGPT, which can listen to spoken prompts and respond verbally, had a voice “eerily similar” to hers.

One of Johansson’s signature roles was as the voice of a futuristic version of Siri in the 2013 film Her and, for the actor, the similarity was stark. The OpenAI chief executive, Sam Altman, appeared to acknowledge the film’s influence with a one-word post on X on the day of the launch: “her”.

In a statement, Johansson said Altman had approached her last year to be a voice of ChatGPT and that she had declined for “personal reasons”. OpenAI confirmed this in a blogpost but said she had been approached to be an extra voice for ChatGPT, after five had already been chosen, including the voice that had alarmed Johansson. She was approached again days before the 13 May launch, OpenAI added, about becoming a “future additional voice”.

Last weekend (Sat. April 20, 2024), Ryan Garcia shocked the world. Not long ago, Garcia was one of the hottest up-and-comers in boxing, but a one-sided knockout loss to Gervonta Davis and unimpressive bounce-back victory cooled expectations. Then, the community grew concerned for “King” after there was a murder hoax, and Garcia’s public and online behavior raised many eyebrows.

Against the undefeated Devin Haney, Garcia would not have been favored by odds makers at the best of times, but his pre-fight antics didn’t seem to indicate a boxer that was training seriously. Missing weight and pounding a beer at weigh-ins seemed to confirm that Garcia was destined for a beating, and he grew to be an even larger underdog.

More than 50 people packed a school district meeting Thursday night to voice concerns about an attack that left a student injured in Pennsylvania.

The assault happened on Wednesday afternoon around 1:20 p.m. in the cafeteria of the Pennbrook Middle School in North Wales.

According to Upper Gwynedd police, surveillance video shows a seventh grader walking along a lunch table when the accused student runs toward her and begins hitting her in the head with a Stanley cup.

"This was avoidable, and the district truly failed to protect the students at Pennbrook," one parent said at the meeting. "What are we supposed to say to our children after this? How do I send him back to school?"

"I just don't know what went wrong. How did it get to this point? I would like answers on that," another parent said.

Hours after rebuking what he dubbed the “Jezebel Spirit” at a men’s event over the weekend, Pastor Mark Driscoll was invited back to the platform at the Stronger Men’s Conference in Springfield, Missouri.
