The Body's Innate Ability to Heal with Steven Ebbers, Breathwork and Somatic Therapist Wise Yourself Up

    • Self-Improvement

One thing Steven often feels is misunderstood about breathwork is that it’s not about the breathing. Rather the breathe is an entry point into your inner world. It allows you figure out what’s alive for you, what’s true, what’s real. And that the same concept applies to other healing modalities too.

Steven is a London based Breathwork Facilitator who helps people feel safe enough to re-establish their relationship with themselves, others and the world around us through breathwork and somatic therapy. He has a background in Clinical Psychology, is an accredited Coach and is currently training as a Cranio-Sacral therapist.

Expect to hear about:

The evolutionary factors behind men’s lack of engagement in therapy
Steven’s background in psychology, experience of talk therapy and ultimately finding the biggest benefit in somatics
How healing modalities are just a route inwards to figure out what is alive for you
Defining breathwork and it’s different types: functional vs therapeutic
What Cranio-Sacral Therapy is and how it works
Why is it that we can accept certain things we do not understand, e.g. WiFi technology, but have doubts about others? E.g. the body’s innate ability to heal
The reality of struggling as a learning practitioner. Frustration and resistance to surrendering. Learning to trust the process

As always, I adore receiving your DMs. Pop me over your thoughts, feedback and questions. @carlamcgreevy1 on Instagram.
