    Meet Dr. David F

    Dr. David F is a professor of Counselor Education and Supervision, a licensed mental health counselor and has been kind enough to share his story with us today. Dr. David discussed some of the events that have helped shape who he is today, his flexibility in continuing to learn his identity, how God and the church have played a key role in his life, and how he has navigated some of life's challenges to grow into the mentor and teacher he is today.

    Dr. Chris completed his PhD in anthropology and will share a little bit about his early childhood experiences, his journey through high school, his efforts to maintain a curiosity towards life, and how he found a passion for anthropology. Some of the topics we will discuss include, finding your identity, learning what it means to be white in America, the concept of other as it relates to anthropology, its historical implications, and how various models in both psychology and anthropology can help us better understand our own journeys. As always, Dr. Chris’s perspective on these topics was shaped by his own history, experiences and knowledge of self.
