Meet Madruga from Rio de Janeiro/Brasil, an adventurous traveler, and Couchsurfing enthusiast who got stuck and unwillingly engaged when traveling Marocco in times of corona. In this interview, Madruga is sharing his quite unique experience on how he got engaged in exchange for a place to stay during the COVID-19 lockdown and how he spent 2 months with a Muslim family in quarantine. He is as well explaining the differences in culture and what it means to travel with a Moroccan woman, how he learned about the differences the hard way, how he dealt with difficulties in social interaction with locals,, and how he finally got back to Europe.
