This is a podcast for thinking and inquisitive women and those who identify as women. In our episodes we set out to explore how it is to be in the body and mind at the many different stages of this life. We share our own life experiences as well as our collective knowledge of working in the different areas of women’s health and wellbeing.

We would love for you to come away thinking and questioning a little bit more. Maybe having more awareness and opening up to the idea that we are all different in our own ways and through kindness to ourselves and each other we can lift each other up.

This is the beginning of you!

Whether you've already experienced it or are yet to encounter this transformative journey, join us as we dive into the depths of menopause, debunking misconceptions and sharing personal revelations.

    Understanding Menopause:
Margaret enlightens us with the true meaning of menopause, shedding light on her own remarkable revelation during a skin analysis session. We come to understand that menopause is not a disease; rather, it's a profound transition that each woman experiences in her unique way.

    Perimenopause and Personal Experiences:
As we discuss the symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, Brenda candidly shares her eye-opening experiences with perimenopause, accompanied by a long list of symptoms she navigated. Helena, on the other hand, reflects on the contrast between her experience of having a baby and her journey through perimenopause, emphasising the importance of embracing individual differences.

    Challenging the Youth-Obsessed Culture:
Living in a culture that often worships youth, we confront the impact of such notions on women going through menopause. We delve into the concept of self-worth, reaffirming the value and beauty that transcends age.

The Importance of Support and Dialogue:
Menopause can feel like an invisible journey, but it doesn't have to be. We stress the significance of open conversations and the support we can provide to one another during this transformative phase.

    Beyond Hormones:
Menopause is more than just a hormonal change; it's an opportunity for personal growth and empowerment. We encourage listeners to embrace this time as a chance to redefine themselves.

    Addressing Vaginal Dryness:
Bringing light to a topic that is often overlooked, we discuss vaginal dryness and provide practical tips and solutions to ease discomfort and promote well-being.

    Book Recommendations:
Margaret shares her passion for literature by recommending "The Fascination of What’s Difficult: A Life of Maud Gonne" by Kim Bendheim, a captivating read about a remarkable woman. Additionally, we explore "Our Hormones, Our Health: How to Understand Your Hormones and Transform Your Life" by Dr. Susanne Esche-Belke and Dr. Suzann Kirschner-Brouns, an informative guide to better comprehend and navigate hormonal changes.
