Ep. 48: Leaving Behind Restrictive Mindsets and Finding Healing Through Nourishment with Ali Bonar UNFILTERED

    • Society & Culture

TW: Disordered eating and binging mentioned

Hello Friends,

Happy Saturday. Today, I am joined by the queen herself, Ali Bonar. Ali is the founder of Kween Granola Butter: “The World’s First Spreadable Granola” and host of Alicast, the podcast. Ali has such a unique gift of saying things how they are, real and vulnerable. Ali invites vulnerability as a means to provide empathy and support. In this episode Ali and I discuss all things related to disordered eating. She shares her story and some of the ways she was able to move towards a more free way of eating and thinking about food. We discuss the immensely harmful effects of eating disorders and the grave consequences of their glamorization on social media. I am so grateful to have had the ability to be in conversation with Ali and I hope this episode can provide some clarity and guidance to anyone who might be struggling with some of these issues and for everyone else I hope this episode can serve as a reminder of the importance of putting all different types of food into your body. Not labeling some them as “good” or “bad.” Finally, with so much going on in the world, remember to take care yourself. Provide yourself grace in doing whatever feels best.

Lots of Love,

Hale
