Dealing antique jewellery isn’t what you think it is. At least not at Butter Lane Antiques.
In Season 1, meet founder, Alex Alfieri, born into the trade and his right hand man, Monty Cutteridge. Two young guys from Manchester, dominating the antique jewellery scene with their defiant, unorthodox approach to the industry and a story that cannot go untold.
In Season 2, 4 years on Alex is joined by his fiancé Roxanne to reveal the rollercoaster of events since the first season, with a focus on the past, present and future of Butter Lane.
This is the other side of antiques. A story starting with an unusual and unexpected start-up that takes us through the highs and lows of trading antiques. From armed robberies to life saving surgery.

Dealing returns for a special 3 part season – and so much has changed since season one.
In episode 1, the founder of Butter Lane Antiques, Alex is joined by his fiancé Roxanne to delve into the past.
Alex reveals the collection of events which led to his partner Monty leaving the business, how he relearnt to run the business solo and he shares a detailed health update, including a near-death experience in a restaurant bathroom.

For the first time, Alex publicly opens up about his time dicing with death in intensive care. Shortly after falling victim to armed robbers, he underwent life-saving open heart surgery.
While Alex was in and out of comas and life was unexpectedly and seemingly slipping away from him, Monty was left at the helm, keeping everything afloat while wondering if his boss would even survive.
