    Danae Robinett is a yoga teacher based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
    She’s been teaching for 19 years and a retreat leader for 12. A nurturer by nature, she's highly skilled at providing adaptations where all abilities are honoured and challenged. And she is also her father’s primary caregiver as he faces cancer the 3rd time.

    In this episode, Nikki interviews Amayra Morales about rosacea and its connection to the gut and what we eat. 
    Amyra Morales. Amayra is an Ayurveda digestive health coach who focuses on helping women manage rosacea so they can glow from the inside out. Amayra hit her lowest health point in 2018 and through a series of fortunate events ended up in India and that was the beginning of the end because this is where she discovered Ayurveda and was able to get to the root cause of her health, and this is when she was told that, "rosacea is not a skin condition" whaaaaat?! According to Ayurveda skin conditions are in fact a manifestation of something deeper within.

    If diet is the cause, start to eat a low histamine diet, and cut out gluten, and dairy, and foods that are warming to start. Also cutting out stimulants, and alcohol.Eat easily digestible foods, stews, soups, and cooked food over raw. Some heating foods such as cinnamon, garlic, and onions can be replaced with other foods and spices. Instead of garlic try asafoetida, an Indian spice, and instead of onion try a fennel bulb.Emotions and stress
    Incorporate medication and mindfulness practicesGo for walksGrounding practicesBreathwork every day

    It is also important to look at
    Not only what we eat, but how we eat it. Eat mindfully.Ayurveda looks at your dosha and the 5 elements to bring you back into balance.

    Remember to start slow. It can be overwhelming but one step at a time

    Teresa Trieb is a somatic breath therapist from Munich, Germany. She helps others gain access to their subconscious mind, release trapped emotions and help rewire their brain through the power of transformational breathwork. Teresa is a student of life exploring the connection between breathwork, emotion, somatics and psychosomatics. Her personal success is that she overcame her own panic attacks, anxiety and depression through breathwork.

Part one in your belly, part two chest, then exhale normally.How often someone should do it, 1 to 2 times a month onlyWho shouldn’t be using this breathwork due to safety concerns - Contraindications:Anyone who is pregnant as it could trigger labour​​Cardiovascular conditions (e.g. abnormal blood pressure, aneurysm, epilepsy or seizures, recent heart attack, ...)Chronic respiratory conditions (e.g. severe asthma, COPD, cystic fibrosis…)Mental health conditions (e.g. schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, ...)
