    Bill Tara has been an active advocate of natural health since 1967 and is a pioneer in the modern Macrobiotic movement in America and Europe. With over 50 years of experience, Bill has been in the forefront on natural health revolution. He was the Vice President of Erewhon Trading Company, one of America’s first distributors of natural organic foods, and was a co-founder of Sunwheel Natural Foods in London, England.

    Bill was the co-founder of the Kushi Institute and served as Executive Director of the institute programs in London, England and Boston, USA. He was the first person to be awarded the title, Macrobiotic Senior Teacher by Michio Kushi and was chairman of the Kushi Institute Teachers Review Boards in both the America and Europe for four years. In the 1960’s he opened macrobiotic education centres in Chicago and Los Angeles.
