Physicians can best help their patients when they understand the health, social, and economic impact of the treatment plans physicians make. This extends beyond diagnostics and treatments and into business models, insurance information, etc.
Chandler and Jonny aim to unpack simple business principles so that medical students can feel prepared to advocate for their patients in the exam room and in the conference room. We hope you enjoy the podcast!

In this episode, we talk with pediatric dermatologist Dr. Sadaf Hussain. Directly out of training, Dr. Hussain opened a private practice dermatology clinic that focused on providing care to the underserved pediatric population in Trenton, New Jersey. In this episode, Dr. Hussain shares with us why she loves dermatology, why and how she opened her clinic, and why she made the shift to academia.
