DevOps: So What‪?‬ So What Wednesday

    • Tecnologia

DevOps is the digital assembly line. Historically, developers have created their product and handed it over to another team responsible for ensuring that the product itself was secure. This caused numerous problems and delays in delivering software as questions are asked and answered, problems solved, work redone, and so on. DevOps melds the two functions of Development and Operations, meaning that as products are developed, security and operational considerations are accounted for during the build process, saving everyone time and money. The result is, in essence, a digital assembly line. In this episode, Biney Dhillon is joined by Jason Ader, Partner/Research Analyst at William Blair, for a discussion on the genesis of DevOps, how it’s affecting modern businesses, and where the future lies.  So, the Developers and Operations people are working on the same team now, so what?

So What Wednesday - Video Podcast Series | “So What” is a series of abbreviated format technology discussions. We talk about a lot of different things on a day-to-day basis, but we often fail to get to the “Why?” In this series, we’ll attempt to cut through the noise by quickly breaking down the biggest and/or most misunderstood topics in modern technology and getting answers to the root question of “So What?” This podcast is produced by NexTech Solutions, LLC.
