- Istruzione
In this week's episode I am joined by Angela Laderach.
Angela teaches at an international school in Switzerland and has been a primary teacher for 14 years. Angela has also taught in 5 different countries. In her career she has been a lead teacher, maths and IT coordinator, and NQT mentor. She holds a masters degree in general education but specialises in creative projects which spark student's interests and lead them to developing their learning on their own initiative, creating richer and deeper learning experiences.
In this episode we will discuss the importance of the words we speak as teachers of young children and how we can change them to develop a growth mindset through questions such as;
- How does mentorship from a colleague make you a better educator?
- Thoughts on leadership, choice or a title?
- Why disruption is an important term in education right now?
- Mental health and well being - ways in which teachers can see work-life integration
- The effects of social media on teachers and its impact as being a friend or foe.
- Developing 21st century skills in students
- Contributing factors of overlooked challenges of responsibilities that teachers face in international schools
