Can the Giants Still Be Good?
Yes! Probably. Well, maybe. Today our investigators decide if the Giants are a good baseball team or a bad baseball team. They identify every flaw and discover difficult truths. But they also find signs that there is a stirring in the ashes. Maybe the Giants can still be mediocre, and maybe that's enough.
On the cocktail side of things Mathew is drinking a Dancing Naranja while Ben is drinking a Blood and Sand. Recipes Below.
Dancing Naranja
1 1/2 oz White Rum1/2 Cognac1/2 oz Orange Liqueur (Grand Marnier)1/2 oz Strawberry Syrup3/4 oz Lime Juice2 Dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
Add, shake and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lime wheel and/or strawberry slice.
Blood and Sand
1 oz Blended Scotch1 oz Cherry Heering Liqueur1 oz Sweet Vermouth1 oz Orange Juice
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled. Double strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with 3 Luxardo cherries. -

In honor of Willie Mays the brothers discuss his impact on the Giants and the world. Then they do a deep dive into the all of the times he was robbed of an MVP. Also, a look ahead to the Rickwood game.

Bobby Burns
1 oz Scotch1 oz Sweet Vermouth1/2 oz Benedictine
Combine ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir to desire dilution. Strain into a Nick & Nora glass.

Gin Old Fashioned
2 oz Gin1/2 oz Green Tea Syrup2 Dashes Ginger BittersLemon Peel for Garnish
Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice, preferably a large ice cube, and garnish with a lemon twist.
Gin & It
1 3/4 oz London Dry Gin3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth1 Dash Orange Bitters
Combine ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir to desired dilution. Strain into Nick & Nora glass. -
Brett Wisely's Giants
Is it a good sign or a bad sign when Brett Wisely is your top hitter? Asking for a friend. Today the boys ask if Brett Wisely is taking Nick Ahmed's job, discuss the current state of the offense, and Ben goes to the optometrist. All Keyed Up
2 oz White Rum1 oz Apricot Liqueur1 oz Passion Fruit Liqueur3/4 oz Key Lime Juice4 oz Pineapple Juice
Combine rum, liqueurs and key lime juice in a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into a highball with ice. Top with pineapple juice.
Yerba Buena
2 oz Reposado TequilaLime Juice of one lime1/4 oz Agave Nectar8 mint leavesGinger beer, chilled, to topGarnish: Mint Sprig and/or lime wheel -
The Shaky Starting Rotation & the Wild Card Race
Keaton Winn back! And the Giants are two games under .500 again. The brothers discuss the absurd wild card race and if the Giants have enough starting pitching to take advantage of absurdity. They also say goodbye to an angel.

Gin-Gin Mule
1 3/4 oz London Dry Gin3/4 oz Lime Juice1 oz Simple Syrup1 mint sprig1-2 oz Ginger Beer
Muddle simple syrup, lime juice and mint in a cocktail shaker. Add gin and ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice. Top with Ginger Beer. Garnish with mint.
Passion Fruit Daiquiri
2 oz White Rum1 oz Passion Fruit Liqueur1 oz Lime Juice1/4 oz Rich Simple Syrup
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into a coupe glass. -
BoMel Goes Off
How bad does a team have to play to make Bob Melvin mad? Well, pretty bad it turns out. Today the boys are talking all about Melvin and his rage, the demotion of Luis Matos to make room for Austin Slater, and Ben's personal barista? Also a lightning round full of humility, cortisone shots and career ending stupidity.
On the cocktail side of things Ben is drinking a Carajillo Puesto while Matthew is drinking a Maneki-Neko-ish. Recipes below.
Carajillo Puesto
2 oz Licor 432 oz Espresso
Add Licor 43 and ice to a rocks glass. Layer with espresso.
Maneki-Neko-ish
2 oz Sesame-infused Bourbon1/2 oz Licor 431/2 oz Cocchi Torino Sweet Vermouth2 Dashes Angostura BittersOrange peel for garnish
First steep 4 ounces of bourbon with one tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds for at least 24 hours. Then combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir for 30-40 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass with a large ice cube. Express orange oils over drink and garnish with the peel.
