Previous episode "The New Normal" included a discussion of my concerns relating to the idea of the world amidst Covid-19 being described as a New Normal. I felt it was a media buzzword being used to subdue the masses into blind compliance. However, as time goes on far beyond that which was envisioned at the start, this episode of PsychBites aims to explore the social change processes underlying the acceptance of a group norm and how this can be a positive when managing large populations in society.
