7: Professional Development to Navigate this School Year (and Beyond)

7: Professional Development to Navigate this School Year (and Beyond)

This week's episode focuses on taking control of your professional development! Teachers are the lead learners of their classroom and it's incredibly important to continue to grow as an educator. With the craziness of the 2020-2021 school year, no more than ever is it important to seek out online platforms and resources to better assist our students.

Links spoken about in today's episode:

    edu.google.com
    web.seesaw.me/training
    web.seesaw.me/pioneer-program

Before I end each show, I typically take a moment to highlight an educator on social media. This week, I am asking you to search the hashtags on social media: #clearthelist, #clearthelists and #adoptaclassroom where you will be taken to links to teacher’s Amazon Wish Lists. Also, please take a look at Adoptaclassroom.org or Donors Choose to see the needs that different teachers have where you can contribute.

You can also message me on Instagram @tangibleteachingpodcast and I would be happy to send some links your way.

6: Preparing for the 2020-2021 School Year

This school year has not even started yet for me and I’ve never felt so prepared yet unprepared at the same time. Listen to this week's episode as I work through some ideas for this upcoming school year.

    4: Picking the Perfect Planner

    4: Picking the Perfect Planner

As a teacher, we of course need to plan. Also as a teacher, we know that no matter how much we actually do plan, it’s not necessarily going to go the way we want it to go (or plan it to go). BUT, we still need a place to put down all of our lessons. Today, I am taking a deep dive into many of the different planners out there--from the ones you get for free to the ones with all of the fluff, tabs, colors and organization your Type A heart desires.

    Planners mentioned in today's podcast:

    The "basic teacher planner"
Teachers Pay Teachers Freebie by Coffee, Flair Pens and Kindness

Top 3 Teachers Pay Teachers Planners of July 2020: One Stop Teacher Shop, Joey Udovich and A Modern Teacher

    The Happy Planner
    Planbook.com
    Erin Condren
    Plum Paper
    4theloveofpi
    Blue Sky
