The History of Algeria podcast is a social, economic, and political history of the land and people that now form the nation of Algeria. Beginning in the neolithic, the podcast will follow the story of a people, that whilst often subjugated, have fought for hundreds of years for cultural liberation.

The scope of the podcast encompasses: the Neolithic and Bronze Age Mediterranean; North Africa in the classical and Roman worlds; the spread of Arabs and Islam into the Maghreb; the Medieval Caliphates; the periphery of the Ottoman Empire; and the acquisition into, and the violent exit from, the French Colonial Empire.
