Wright Here, Right Now AJ & Alice Wright

This episode was recorded on the 18th of January 2021. In it, we are interviewing our Dad's Dad (our Oupa). Sadie has joined us for the interview. You can also hear other family members at times.

In August 2021, Oupa died after a long illness with bowel cancer. As a result, we have decided not to edit the contents, and instead remember Oupa as the sometimes polarising figure that he was.

In his usual style he recounts his early childhood through to the current times.

With Father's Day 2023 three days away we figured it was time to publish it.

Welcome to the first episode of the podcast formerly known as The Wright Talk. We decided to give the name of the previous podcast to Dr Whitney Wright, a dentist from the USA who has been making episodes about mental health.

So now we have Wright Here, Right Now, a light-hearted, child-friendly podcast. We don't know where it's headed, but Episode 1 discusses weird animal names and Alice makes up a story on the spot!

After a long delay, we recorded an episode when we were travelling in Arizona. We spoke to our mum's mum (our Grandma).
From her rural upbringing to her work as a doctor in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, she has lived a very interesting life.
We learnt a lot during our recording, and our mum did too.
