In what is our final episode of the season before the offseason, we round up the big game in which Stafford finally got his ring after 12 cumbersome NFL seasons in Detroit, and Joe Burrow was sent home with an injury on his other knee. Listen in as we discuss a game that could have been much worse for the Bengals after OBJ leaves the game with a severe knee injury. This week we give our takes on the upcoming Superbowl match up between the old and wise Matthew Stafford and the ice in his veins youngster Joe Burrow. We are joined yet again by a Lions fan from across the Atlantic as Jonathan's cousin, Wyatt, tells us his Superbowl predictions and confesses his hopes for Stafford to get his long-deserved reward for his many years of suffering in Detroit. On paper, this game has the makings of an all-timer; the only question is, are we getting too excited? 

We missed a week, and it was a great one, but we're back, and there is just too much to talk about, but we've done our best. From the epic showdowns of the Divisional Round to the hard-fought battles of the AFC & NFC Championship games to the newly reborn Washington Commanders, we've got opinions on it all. The outcome of it all is that we have our Superbowl match up, much to Jonathan's dismay, with The Rams and Bengals set to throw down at Sofi Stadium. On top of all that, The GOAT has retired...so put your feet up and enjoy; there is A LOT to talk about. 

The playoffs have finally come around and sure enough one of us decided to get covid, but we're not letting bad luck or the fact that for us poor Lions' & Vikings' fans it's all a bit pointless, so we did our duty and talked about the weekend nevertheless. In our 25th Episode, we discuss the horrific officiating that we've come to expect in the playoffs, with both the Bengals-Raiders and 49ers-Cowboys games marred in controversy. Other than that, it was a weekend of blowouts, so we give our takes on some of the best and some of the worst and best performances, as well as a catch up on all of the new HC and GM vacancies throughout the league.

On this week’s episode of After The Play, James has a long hard look at the truly dysfunctional state of his franchise as the forthcoming years of a rebuild dawn on him, whereas for once Lions fans can look at the offseason with some optimism as they end the year on a high. The also boys discuss the fallout from Black Monday in the NFL, and we have a look forward to the Playoffs and Awards. That, beer mishaps, drive-by shots at the Lions and so much more on this weeks episode of ATP.

In this delayed episode, we talk about the week that will forever be remembered as the Antonio Brown week. The now former Buccaneer yet again made himself the centre of attention, this time getting out of his uniform and leaving the field mid game. The boys give their thoughts on the matter, as well some of the major talking including the astronomical rise of Joe Burrow and Big Ben’s final outing at Heinz Field.
