In the small hours of August 23, 1987, 16-year-old Don Henry and 17-year-old Kevin Ives set out together for a late night hunting trip with a pocketful of weed and a rifle. Just a few hours later, the two would be seen reclining on a railroad track mere seconds before they were mangled by a locomotive traveling 50mph.

Although the deaths were originally deemed an accident brought on by overindulgence in herbal refreshments, that determination didn’t square with everyone. Family of the victims smelled skunk, and it definitely wasn’t weed. Join J and Khadijah as JR relates the bizarre facts of the Henry/Ives murders - a case that escalated from an unfortunate accident to a convoluted carnival of corruption, medical monkey business, cruel cartels, and of course, plenty of polluted politicians.

On October 17, 1941, 73 year-old Philip Peters was discovered bludgeoned to death in his home on West Moncrieff Place in Denver, Colorado, in what would turn out to be one of the most bizarre locked-door mysteries in the annals of American true crime.

Rumors of strange sounds, and ominous sightings would convince some that powers from the beyond were at play in Mr. Peters’ untimely demise. The truth might be even stranger.

Mack Edwards was a hard working man; a veteran, husband, father, and a solid member of the block. Those who knew him personally considered him a trusted friend and neighbor, a decent family man, and pillar of the community.

He was also a cold and sadistic child predator who enjoyed nothing better than gaining the trust of others and then brutally preying on their children.

Edwards would confess to a series of depraved crimes against young people that had taken place in Los Angeles county over a 17 year period.

But he didn’t admit to everything.
