    Recap from DisruptHR New Orleans

    Recap from DisruptHR New Orleans

Last Thursday was DisruptHR New Orleans., The theme of the night was the Future of Work, and there were 10 thought provoking presentations. Among them was our CEO, Tracy Eames. This week, she shares her experience presenting, enjoying the event, and simply loving the city for a few days.  Tracy’s presentation was “Redefining Leadership: Soft Skill or Strategic Imperative”.
A brief summary would be -  Let's face the truth together: leadership is anything but soft. It is quantifiable and directly influences your company's bottom line. So why do we often dismiss it as a soft skill? Because tackling the complexities of leadership is daunting, and it's easier to brush it aside. When leadership is undervalued, organizations miss out on achieving goals, struggle with high turnover rates, and face a lack of employee engagement—a costly combination. But what if we shift our perspective on leadership? What if we empowered leaders in a new way?  We will reframe leadership and discuss how leaders can unlock growth, foster effective teams, and cultivate a winning organizational culture. Don't miss out on this opportunity to revolutionize your approach to leadership and drive tangible results for your company.

Best Practices: Achieving Cross-Functional Team Wins

In this week’s episode, Tracy Eames, CEO of TEAMES & CO is talking about how to help your teams achieve wins. All too often in our companies we operate in silos. These silos create friction between our teams and decrease our ability to reach strategic objectives. Today we are sharing a few tips and best practices about how to achieve strategic wins with your cross-functional teams.
    Show Highlights:
Highlight (01:40) - Tracy introduces why we are talking about cross functional team success. At TEAMES & CO we work on a lot of projects, but specifically, often a CTO or CIO is hiring us to help them figure out how to launch, an app or a website. These digital product launches require a high level of cross-functional collaboration, so we thought we would share a few best practices.  Highlight (03:00) - Tracy shares why the way many leaders set goals today actually creates more friction than progress for cross-functional teams. Highlight (04:39) - Why having a cross functional mindset can make you a better leader. Highlight (5:50) - How can leaders model the behavior that they are looking to see from their teams.
