Carl-Gould-#70secondCEO-How to Get Leverage and Use It-Part 2

Carl-Gould-#70secondCEO-How to Get Leverage and Use It-Part 2

Hi Everyone, Carl Gould here your #70secondCEO, just over a minute of  investment per
day for a lifetime of results.
So now we've got leverage. Now it's game on. So money that would hurt and you disappoint somebody you love that you're trying to help. So now what you do is you would say, “I'm never gonna let that happen.” One, that was a good kick in the behind, thank you for that, but you would never allow that letter to ever be mailed or that check ever to go out. When you've done all the activities you've promised, I hand them both right back to you. Take them, you shred them. That's leverage. With that kind of leverage, you'll achieve whatever your targets are. If it's negotiable like, “Yeah I'm a little tired, he looks a little tired. We're not gonna manage money tonight.” No big deal. But if I have your check for $10,000, you're like, “Kid get up! Now! Dad's gotta teach you. Wake up!”

Carl-Gould-#70secondCEO-How to Get Leverage and Use It-Part 1

Carl-Gould-#70secondCEO-How to Get Leverage and Use It-Part 1

Hi Everyone, Carl Gould here your #70secondCEO, just over a minute of  investment per
day for a lifetime of results.
So let's imagine you're my coach. So here's what I would do is I would say, I would ask you for a number, a dollar amount of number that if you had to write a check for today, it would hurt. So let's just say that's a 5-figure number, 10 grand or above. You would write a check out to a charity that you would never wanna be associated with. So just think of the opposite political party, some group out in the world that you just cannot stand whatever they're about. You're gonna give me a check for $10,000 or more written out to them and I hold on to it as your coach. And if you don't do the activities that you promise, I mail the check to them. Second thing you'll do is you're gonna write a letter to your 10-year-old son explaining why you failed him and why you were too lazy and couldn't be bothered to follow through to teach him how to manage his money. If you don't follow through on the activities, now again, you don't have to get the achievement. He doesn't have to become Warren Buffet, you just have to do things you promise and that are under your control. If you fail, you decide not to do it, I mail the letter to your wife who will read it to your son a year from now.

Carl-Gould-#70secondCEO-You Know What Youre Selling But Do You Know What The Owner is Buying Part 2

Carl-Gould-#70secondCEO-You Know What Youre Selling But Do You Know What The Owner is Buying Part 2

You Know What You’re Selling, But Do You Know What The Owner is Buying? Part 2
Hi Everyone, Carl Gould here your #70secondCEO, just over a minute of  investment per day for a lifetime of results.
Now, what people are after is, the only thing that they really care about is THEMSELVES, that’s the entity that is most important to them. What they care about is how you, your company or your product and service helps them be more of themselves.  So understand this, we have a way that we define ourselves,I mentioned the suit guy or the casual guy or gal (listen to Part 1). We have a way that we define ourselves, that creates what we call the model of the world. From that model of the world we have a perspective as to what we see around us.
      If I’m a casual guy:
I’m going to show up in casual places
I’m going to make casual money
I’m going to drive a casual car
I’m going to be casual about my decisions
I’m going to be casual about objections
How I do anything is how I do everything as a buyer because of the way I have defined myself. It’s the most important thing my brain will do all day is to make sure I act in alignment with how I define myself. So once you understand them, meaning having your ideal client avatar, meaning understand what part of their life or their business cycle or career cycle they’re in, what’s most important to them right now and how can your product or service help them be more of what they want to be and or be less of what they don’t want to be. That’s how you’re going to sell more that’s how you’re going to break through their barriers to buying.

Carl-Gould-#70secondCEO-You Know What Youre Selling But Do You Know What The Owner is Buying Part 1

You Know What You’re Selling, But Do You Know What The Owner is Buying? Part 1
Hi Everyone, Carl Gould here your #70secondCEO, just over a minute of  investment per day for a lifetime of results.
The 4 Entities of the Sale, so now let’s think about this, we talked about this earlier, you know what you’re selling, but do you know what the owner is buying? You can’t give this enough credence, is that people purchase in their own image. If I’m going to wear casual clothes and not buy a suit. Understanding what kind of guy or gal or what kind of purchaser your consumer IS, will help you position your products and services properly. But let’s figure out what they’re buying. Now in the 4 Entities of the Sale the moment you meet your prospect these Entities are:
YOU - you just walked into their office
Them - they’re sitting right there at their desk
    Your company
    And your product or service
These are the 4 that exist. Now, of the 4 entities your buyer only cares about 1 of them and couldn’t care less about the other. So which of the 4 do you think this meeting, this sale, this appointment you’re having with the prospect is all about?

Carl Gould-#70secondCEO-Post Relevant Content For Your Clientele That is TIMELESS

Carl Gould-#70secondCEO-Post Relevant Content For Your Clientele That is TIMELESS

Post Relevant Content For Your Clientele That is TIMELESS
Hi Everyone, Carl Gould  here your #70secondCEO, just over a minute of investment per day for a lifetime of results.
In your messaging you need 2 things, you need:
    TIMELINESS and..
    TIMELESSNESS.
Let’s take the TIMELESSNESS first. So, in your messaging, you want to have the core foundation, foundational communications that are relevant to your clientele forever. So, business wisdom and personal wisdom and messages match the seasons and match the holidays and the rhythms of life at certain ages and certain milestone birthdays and events in their life. So, we want to make sure that we do the things that are communicating the things that people like on a regular basis:
    Motivation
    Trivia
    Thinking
    Fun stuff
Things that are what I call non-linear. Meaning nothing to do with anything. Right? That’s the TIMELESSNESS, that’s the stuff that was good 10 years ago is good today and will be good 10 years from now.
Then you need TIMELINESS, now remember we are in winter so, here’s the economy (makes up and down gesture). When it’s going up, you got to be talking about how things are going up. When it’s cresting and going down you got yo be talking about how things are cresting and going down and what to do about them. When things are in a landslide, you got to be talking about what to do for that.

    Carl-Gould-#70secondCEO-How Do We Judge Value

    Carl-Gould-#70secondCEO-How Do We Judge Value

     How do we judge value?
Hi Everyone, Carl Gould here your #70secondCEO, just over a minute of investment per day for a lifetime of results.
We’re talking about increasing your fees. Now wouldn’t that be nice? Just take your prices and charge more? And you’ll just make more money. Isn’t that great? Well, you know what, it’s actually necessary. We have been talking about not just being another penguin, about standing above, about being an expert, about differentiating yourself. Well, guess what? People judge your quality based on your fees. Think about it, I asked you the question, what’s a better watch? A Timex or a Rolex? And some of you are like, “Timex, do they even make them anymore?” Like pretending you don’t know. And then when I said, how about a Rolex? You all knew what that cost, “oh, $5000 well it depends on which one you get. How much are we blinging this one out Carl?” Now you can spend 15 or above. You all knew what the Rolex cost. But none of you could figure out what the Timex would cost. Right, because we are sold on brands that are higher in price. Apple, Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, Tiffany’s, you know, Rolex, and other high-end brands.
What makes them high-end? How do you know they’re as good as they claim? The reality is you don’t! The way that you judge quality is based on their price.
