    Barbados- A New Republic?

    Barbados- A New Republic?

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by for another episode of colour your life. Today's episode is about the island of Barbados. A gorgeous island located in the sunny skies and warm waters of the Caribbean region. It's been about 180 years since slavery has ended and 55 years since they gained independence but they're still not a republic.Meaning that the queen is still their head of state. However, according to their prime minister that status is about to change as by November they are carded to be a republic nation, free from the claws of Britain. Since I'm not a bajan, for the purpose of this episode I brought on Khaleel Kothdiwala, a student from Barbados, who is very verse in politics to help me and by extension you get a better understanding of why becoming a republic is such a big deal, and what took Barbados so long to hop on the train. I hope you find this episode entertaining. Thank you for taking time to Colour Your Life.

Oshun~ African Goddess of water, sensuality and healing. Female empowerment 💛

This is my very first collab and I’m super excited. My wifi is trash so it gets a lil wonky but I promise this episode is worth the listen. Oshun is a Major symbol of female empowerment. She protects women and gives us strength by helping us to embrace our sexuality. So yeah! Thanks for taking time to colour your life
