    Dreaming differently S2 E1 !!

    Dreaming differently S2 E1 !!

Hello everyone! I am back after a long, much needed break. Today I want to talk about a lot of things, Sticking to the themes of back to school, and our latest news regarding our disabilities community, and those who support it! To begin, I want to talk about my new release schedule. Last year was a year of many challenges, but on the positive side, it was very convenient for filming. Now that school is back in full swing for me, I will be releasing episodes every other tuesday! On the topic of difficult times I want to talk about mental health next. I used this summer as a mental break in order to ensure I was fully prepared for this school year, and my new twirling season to come. I encourage anyone who is having mental troubles to take breaks, as this was much needed for myself and has brought me to an amazing mental headspace since. Now, to begin our recent news, I want to discuss the paralympics. Many of you may not even be aware that they are going on right now. Now this can present a major problem that is not talked about by many. How come we have yet to hear about this? How can we fix this problem? Well luckily, I know how we can take the first steps. To begin, if we generate attention towards the news in the Paralympics, we can bring others to have interest. By posting about it on social media, by talking about it with your peers, even teaching others. If we can create a topic of conversation upon it, I guarantee others will be drawn in as well. Now, this week I would like to spotlight paralympic Track and Field runner, Noelle Lambert. She lost her left leg in a moped accident in 2016. Lambert runs the hundred yard dash, and this is her first year in the paralympics. She's the daughter of Geoffrey and Judy Lambert...Has three older siblings and 29 first cousins...Played lacrosse at University of Massachusetts Lowell, where she majored in criminal justice...Named the inaugural recipient of the America East Inspiration Award...2019 Boston Celtics’ Heroes Among Us award winner...Lists Gossip Girl as her favorite TV show...Names Tom Brady as her favorite athlete...Favorite teams include the Patriots, Celtics and Bruins...Founded the Born to Run Foundation, which provides specialized prosthetics to younger adults and children that will allow them to live a fun and fulfilling life. Her motto is "You never know what you're capable of doing until you fail." Every Podcast I release will spotlight a different athlete while the paralympics are going on! Thank you guys for listening, and I hope you have a great tuesday!
